Bungendore Wood Works Gallery specialises in exhibiting and promoting Australian made wood art, sculpture, craft and contemporary furniture of a very high standard from the country’s foremost designer/makers in wood. We take pride in showcasing the skill and art of Australia’s wood workers and the varied richness and beauty of our native timbers.

The Gallery is a multi-tourism award winning attraction open every day situated just 30 minutes from Canberra, Australia’s National Capital.

We mourn the passing of Mac West
1952-2009
Mac West was one of the original ten furniture makers for the very first Bungendore Wood Works Gallery Exhibition in 1983. In 1994 I helped Mac in his workshop to make the octagonal plinths and the Gallery's main counter for our new Gallery. Mac's "An Illustrated History of the Dovetail Joint" has been on display in the Gallery window for ten years, providing a good chuckle for many people. He was a frequent visitor to the Gallery, often accompanied by his son, Jackson. We will miss his wit, humour and bon ami.
